Eastwood House

The House

Eastwood House is set within a riverside garden and enjoys wonderful views over the river Tay towards Birnam Wood and Hill. It is a short, scenic walk away from the centre of Dunkeld which lies at the gateway to highland Perthshire in an area well known for its natural scenic beauty, its history and culture and its proximity to a wide range of outdoor pursuits.

The house can accommodate up to 18 adults/children with a further two children’s beds available in the family room. Our 5 public rooms at ground floor level, and the majority of the 9 bedrooms above, are south facing with stunning river, hill and Dunkeld views. The house is stocked with logs and kindling from our woods for the open fires in the public rooms and the entrance hall stove and has gas fired central heating throughout with plenty of hot water at all times.

Eastwood has a rich and varied history of its own. Originally part of the Atholl Estates it was for many years a beautiful highland retreat welcoming renowned guests such as Sir John Everett Millais, Lillie Langtry, David Lloyd George, Stanley Baldwin and, most famously, Beatrix Potter.

We are confident that Eastwood will offer a magical stay for all our visitors in the comfort and beauty of this historic house and its stunning setting.
