Welcome to Eastwood House, Dunkeld
Eastwood House is a beautifully restored Victorian villa sitting in a stunning location on the banks of the River Tay about half a mile from Dunkeld in Perthshire and is available for self catered private hire throughout the year.
Eastwood offers relaxed, informal accommodation for up to 20 and is the perfect choice for gatherings of family and friends, special occasions and events or retreats. If you don’t wish to self cater there are a number of caterers in the area who can provide a bespoke food service to suit your needs.
Eastwood House is set within 9 acres of riverside gardens and woodland and enjoys wonderful views over the river Tay towards Birnam Wood and Hill. It is a short, scenic, riverside walk away from the centre of beautiful Dunkeld which lies at the gateway to highland Perthshire in an area well known for its natural scenic beauty, its history and culture and its proximity to a wide range of outdoor pursuits.
Eastwood has a rich and varied history of its own. Originally part of the Atholl Estates it was for many years a beautiful highland retreat welcoming renowned guests such as Sir John Everett Millais, Lillie Langtry, David Lloyd George, Stanley Baldwin and, most famously, Beatrix Potter.
Since coming to Eastwood 5 years ago we have gradually restored and refurbished the house and cottages to create a wonderful new home for our family and a beautiful and tranquil place to share. The garden works continue to develop and this year we are hoping to renovate one of the main herbaceous borders in the rose garden and further enhance access to the riverside with new decks.
We are confident that we can offer a magical stay for our visitors in the comfort and beauty of this historic house and its stunning setting.
